Location

The hotel occupies a 16th century fortress, which was built overlooking Horta Bay and was declared a national monument in 1947. From the hotel guests are able to enjoy breathtaking views of Pico Island as well as the famous harbour. Vulcao dos Capelinhos, Varadouro, Morro de Castelo Branco and Caldera are all just a hour drive from the hotel.

Facilities

The hotel was built in 1567. 28 double rooms are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. Check-in and check-out are possible at any time at the 24-hour reception desk. Services and facilities include a safe, a TV room, room service and a conference room. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park.
